Auto Body Technician
Autocraft Bodywerks, Austin’s premiere I-CAR Gold Class Certified Collision repair facility is looking for talented Body Technicians. We are a growing business and want the best talent in Austin to grow with us.
If you have a steady hand, are highly detail oriented and love working on returning cars to showroom condition, we may have a position for you as an auto body technician.
Requirements:
We are a high-tech, high energy collision repair facility specializing in the repair and restoration of luxury vehicles. In addition to being I-CAR Gold Class Certified, we hold certifications for Tesla, Infiniti and are ProFirst Certified by Honda of North America to repair Acura and Honda vehicles. We also maintain a dedicated aluminum repair facility for all aluminum repairs. Ongoing education is required as standards and practices are constantly being updated.
We use only OEM replacement parts.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Technology:
You must be technology friendly and comfortable working with computers and the latest diagnostics.
Critical Thinking:
We are looking for problem solvers. We want every vehicle that leaves our lot to look and drive as if it is in showroom condition. You must be able to follow OEM guidelines in the repair work.
Customer Service:
You must be professional and presentable. Although much of your work is done without the customer watching, you must present positive customer service values. Remember, we are working with customers who may be very stressed about the damage and repairs being done to their vehicle. Part of our Mission is to remove the stress from the customer.
Attention to Detail:
You must have an eye for detail in order to do the job right the first time.
Dexterity:
It is important that you have free range of motion in your hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces.
Technical Skills:
High volume shop. Must be experienced in automotive collision. Compensation is based on skills, training, experience and talent. Must have your own tools. You must have experience with door skins, rad support, metal work & plastic. In addition you must have experience working on frame machines and electronic measuring (using Car-O-Liner system). Valid Texas driver’s license is helpful. You must take pride in your work and be a team player.

Experienced Estimator / CSR

South Austin’s finest high-end bodyshop is looking for a smart, friendly and motivated Customer Service Representative with a minimum of 1 year writing estimates. Our Customer Service Representative plays an important part in the smooth running of the office. Growing as we speak and WE need YOU today! This is the perfect position for an Estimator CSR or former Body Tech.

Required:
- Must have at least 1 year experience in writing estimates.
Must be knowledgeable in either Audatex or CCC One - Knowledge in Profit Net a plus
- Knowledge of inside insurance claims is helpful
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with estimating, inlining and processing supplements
- Maintain relationships with customers
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
He/She will work closely with our Blueprinting / Estimators and will be responsible for daily contact with customers, insurance adjusters, vendors and others, both on the phone and in person. The right candidate will listen to the customer’s needs, provide them with a clear understanding of the collision repair/claim process while obtaining the information required to initiate the damage appraisal and repair, schedule the vehicle for damage appraiser.
Overview:
- Follow up on all unclosed opportunities
- Track and measure effectiveness of capture rate
- Effectively negotiate damage reports with insurers
- Maintain contact with the customer during the repair process
- Confirm all financial arrangements with the customer
- Verify accuracy of the final repair order
- Manage the survey process with each customer
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Follow up quickly and accurately with attention to detail
